HPP Staking is now live, and Season 1 officially begins today. This is the start of HPP’s participation staking system, designed for a progression layer. Your Principal stays unchanged, while your reward calculation power can grow over time through ‘Effective Stake’.

Below is a practical checklist and a Season 1 playbook to help you stake smoothly and understand how rewards work.

Your Season 1 staking playbook

1) The Season 1 idea in one minute

Season 1 is amount-based. Your staked Principal places you into a Bonus Credit tier, which determines your Season 1 multiplier. That multiplier increases your Effective Stake, which is what the system uses to calculate rewards.

In short: Stake → get a Season 1 multiplier → earn based on Effective Stake.

2) Season 1 reward calculation

• Effective Stake Effective Stake = Principal × (Season 1 Multiplier)
• Daily reward accrual dailyReward = (userEffectiveStake / totalEffectiveStake) × (annualRewardUsed / 365)

3) Worked example

Assume you stake:

• Principal: 500,000 HPP
• Season 1 Multiplier: 1.10x

Step 1: Calculate Effective Stake Effective Stake = 500,000 × 1.10 = 550,000

Your rewards are calculated as if you staked 550,000 HPP, while your actual Principal remains 500,000 HPP.

Step 2: Estimate daily rewards  Assume for a given period:

• annualRewardUsed: 5,000,000 HPP
• totalEffectiveStake (network): 52,000,000 HPP
• your userEffectiveStake: 550,000 HPP

Then: dailyReward = (550,000 / 52,000,000) × (5,000,000 / 365) ≈ 144.89 HPP/day

Step 3: Estimate a Season total If the Season is about 90 days: Season estimate ≈ 144.89 × 90 ≈ 13,040 HPP

Note: Actual rewards vary with network conditions.

A reminder: staking is built for participation

HPP staking is not solely focused on rewarding whales. Stake size matters to some degree, but the broader direction is to reward commitment and participation over time. Seasons are designed to expand what gets rewarded, including long-term staking and DAO-related actions in future Seasons.
